Federico Moreno Torroba is Spanish composer of the last century, known for his important contribution to the repertoire of the classical guitar. Besides numerous compositions for guitar, Torroba also wrote operas and above has contributed to the spread of the traditional genre zarzuela, making him known to the international public. Castles of Spain are two volumes of compositions for solo guitar dedicated to various Spanish castles, including that of Torija, which is dedicated this song, from the great lyrical qualities.
