Recuerdos de la Alhambra is a classical guitar piece composed by Francisco Tarrega in 1896. At first it seems an advanced study on the tremolo technique, but thanks to its musical quality, has become a song played in many classical guitar concerts. This music has continuously running the tremolo in quatrains, it is composed by repetition of two sections, of which the original is in A minor and the second goes to the major key, creating a successful contrast effect poignant-bright typical of Spanish music which Tarrega intended to give vivid expression.
